We’ve made an executive decision; rather than going out this weekend and facing reality, we’re staying in and getting festive with all our fave Christmas films. So many films, so little time? Not to worry as we’ve got our blogger buds on hand to help us out.
Get your jammies on and join us.
We asked Sarah Ashcroft of Pommie fame for her fave and, without hesitation, she said ELF!
If you can get over the slightly creepy sight of Will Ferrell dressed as what is effectively a giant child, it’s pretty great, although our boy Cristian MJC thinks otherwise: “Home Alone, not Elf, definitely not Elf.” Fair enough.
Killy of Moon Magik has your back, Cristian- “Home Alone, always.” We’re inclined to agree; it certainly made nights in as a kid more interesting. Bring on the festive pranks!
“The Grinch! Hands down. Baby Taylor Momsen is the cutest.” Lucia from Style Confessional is all over the Dr Seuss/ Jim Carrey classic and we agree, but it still makes us sad when we see Taylor circa 2014… Someone please confiscate her eyeliner!!
A new one to the bunch but it’s one of those lazy Sunday afternoon films we never miss. Georgina from Georgina Does said “I’m not sure if it’s a Christmas film but I definitely went to see it around that time.” What more do you really need?
The Nightmare Before Christmas.
So what’s our choice? Thanks for asking guys, very thoughtful. We just can’t get enough of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. So spooky and cool, it’s a Christmas eve must even if it does give us the titular nightmares!
What’s your favourite Xmas film??
